How do i restore the original desktop icon for IE? I cant access my IE options from inside IE because of a spyware prog. It sucks having to open the prog and change the options just to delete cookies and internet files and history.

Type Control Inetcpl.cpl in the RUN box. Also, post the error - what happens when you open IE.

Win9x: In IE, Tools | Internet Options | Advanced | Show Internet Explorer
on the desktop

WinXP: Right click a blank spot on the desktop and choose Properties |
