I had a look on the IE newsgroup and someone had posted a similar question
and been directed here or the office newsgroup.
I have a user on w98 and office97 (thus excel 97) who does not have the
right click export to excel function in IE.
I have tried added the following reg key:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\MenuExt\E&xport to
Microsoft Excel]
default ="res://C:\PROGRA~1\MICROS~2\Office\EXCEL.EXE/3000"
"Contexts"=dword:00000001
but to no avail (well the function appears in the context menu but doesn't
do anything)
I suspect it's the software levels. Does anyone know a workaround other
than upgrading?
thanks
