Internet Explorer Error

I have been recieving Internet Explorer errors, and
Microsoft says it is being caused by Smart Pops. On the
Smart Pops page Microsoft gives, Smart pops says to go to
add/remove programs and uninstall Network Essentials. I
do not have Network Essentials. I am wondering how to fix
this problem.
 
get a copy of spybot and adaware, and run them, make sure
they are undated first. thats spyware/malware you have.
