Internet Explorer does not show its taskbar

Pls be of help by giving the solution to this problem.
My IE6 will not show the address or so it normally shows
at the bottom of the browser. Such indication does not
allow me know if the browser is reading a page as the
green progressing indicator signifying the task progress
of the browser and the entire bottom pane or border of
the browser can not be displayed. The browser works very
fine except for this problem. Thanks as you m ay mail the
solution to my address straight.
