I'm having trouble getting rid of the blaster virus. I
have downloaded the security patch and i have had Norton
antivirus remove it using one of their tools. I have
checked my registry and i see no sign of it. But the
problem is everytime i use the internet after 5 minutes
its shuts down and restart. Is the problem the blaster
virus or is it internet explorer?

You may be cleaning the virus, but have you downloaded the necesary patch to
the OS?

Hi Ernesto,

This problem may or may not be Blaster, depending on the symptom you are
describing. When Blaster causes the machine to reboot it generally gives you
a message that RPC is going to cause the machine to shut down. Is this what
is happening? If so, Blaster or a variant is still probably infecting your
machine. Internet Explorer is almost assuredly not going to reboot your
machine, I have never seen or heard of that happening.
