Internet Explorer 6 failure??

When I try to install M anti spyware beta it stops and warns I need at least
Internet Explorer 6 or higher to continue... I am already running the newest
version of Internet Explorer 6.0.2900.2180-blahblahblah... What is wrong and
how can I fix it??
