Internet Explorer 6 cannot execute open in new window

After installing the patch:Windows XP KB828741 on my
machine, for some odd reason IE 6.0 cannot open a new
window using javascript:open window when I click on a
link. Or even if I right click on a link and go to open
in a new window option. Is there anything that I could
do.

Do you have a Pop up Blocker? that could be the cause.
Hold down the Ctrl Key as a workaround when clicking links?
 
It relates to OLEAUT32.dll
The version I had was v3.50.5041.
I replaced it with an older versdion 2.40 and that fixed it
It also relates to another problem with the v.3.50.5041.0 which is
Erro: 35 Incompatible Version of the RPC Stub by going to the edit/find in
internet explorer

YAAAAAA!!!!! 2 weeks on this
