Internet Explorer 6 background

When using IE6 the background on all web pages does not load. Also buttons in
some frames display greyed out buttons that can't be clicked.
Message at bottom says Java applet failed to load.
Is there a fix for this?

If I use my opera browser all pages display properly.

Any help would be greatly appriciated
Thanks John

Hi,
Another program is probably causing this. Disable, for diagnostic purposes,
programs such as ad-blockers, privacy/security programs, toolbars or other
add-ons to IE. Take a look at any program that might be filtering some types
of content such as scripts.

If this doesn't help, please reply to this thread with your Windows version.

Hope this helps,
Don

For the background problem, if you're sure that it's not being caused by
another program, go to Internet Options> General> Accessibility> make sure
that nothing is checked.
Check also Ctrl Panel> Accessibility> Display> uncheck all boxes.

For the Java Applets problem... there's excellent information at
http://javatester.org/ and http://inetexplorer.mvps.org/answers_9.htm

Hope this helps,
