internet exlplorer "unable to change the home page"

Dear All

In my internet explorer 6 i was unable to change the default page / home
page , i unistalled ie6 but still in ie5 also I m not able to change the
default page , i think some kind of virus disabled this option , can aybody
help me about that plz

One thing you can try is to remove this key in the Registry. Save it first
of course:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main

and then reinstall IE 6. Do not uninstall it first. You can get a full
installation again by going to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed Components

Then from that key choose Find and search for your IE 6 installation (Search
for Internet). Then change the IsInstalled value on the right to 0.

Finally if you do not want to do all this then you can find and download:

HijackThis
Ad-Aware
BHODemon
CWShredder

Run those they should be able to clean up your hijacker.
