Internet Eplorer opens then closes immediately after Adobe 8.0install??

My IT "professionals" updated my computer (XP Professional) with Adobe
Acrobat Pro 8.0 (full program, not just Reader). Immediately, when my
Internet Explorer opens, it flashes briefly and then closes. But only
under *my* user profile - IE works fine under an Admin profile! In
all fairness, there were probably some other updates done as well
(Java was one, I know). They even renamed my old profile and built me
a new one -IE opened once, but never again.

Anyone else seen this puzzle? Is tghere a solution?

How about patching up to 8.1.1? Give it a shot.
