internet does not work after standby/hibernate

Hi, i have been running into this problem lately. when i bring my computer
out of stand by or hibernate, i am unable to access the internet. i get
either "action canceled" or "this page cannot be displayed". i have switched
isp's and this still happens. if anybody might have suggestions that would
be great.

I have had this problem. Usually, going to standby and
resuming again would restore functionality. If I'm not
mistaken, there was a fix for this specific problem under
the windows xp updates in Windows Update.

I have kept up to date with all the updates. also i tried your little trick
and it still does the same thing. i can sign on to the isp main page, ie.
sign on screen on aol or msn. so i can connect but cannot bring up
websites.
