Internet Connectivity Issue

Hello,

I just reloaded Xp onto my Sony Vaio PCG 7D2L after not being able to get
the O.S. to install for 2 months. This time I did it without incident, as
well as loaded Office 2007. However, I have no internet connectivity,
wireless or LAN. I currently have it routed through a Netscape hub which
connects via Clearwire (for my desktop, work laptop and anyone else's laptop
that already works). I tried compairing the LAN settings between my desktop
and the Vaio, thinking that if they matched the problem would be solved but
no such luck. What should the settings be and/or what am I doing wrong? I
started the problem with my Vaio 3 months ago when i added a password, only
to forget it within 2 hours (so much for the fool proof password!), so I then
reloaded Xp thinking I could resolve the pw problem that way. Ever since
then, I've had no internet. Things got worse when Xp10 wouldn't even reload.
So i give in, I accept I don't know what I'm doing for this problem. Can
someone please tell me how to get both the internet connectivity back, as
well as the wireless capability? I don't want to screw it up again, having
already lost all the Sony bundled software from this quixotic pursuit!

thank you!
