How do I find out which connection (LAN, Local Dial-up,
TCP/IP) my mother is running her computer through for
internet access?
We are currently trying to enable her firewall and keep
receiving a message that says it would not enable firewall
because of shared network. I was given an idea of
checking to see how her connection is being made but not
knowing XP and not being in the same town as her I didn't
want to go at this blind.
We are trying to follow the steps Microsoft has put
forward to take care of the Blaster Worm (which she does
have)

There is an easier way. Go to the following web site address and download
the "tool". The file name is "fixblast.exe" and is about 140 kb in size.
Have them save it to a folder on their computer, then open Explorer and run
it.
