XP Pro, DSL. I leave the system on all night. Everything is fine when I
retire, but I have to reboot in the morning to reestablish my internet
connection. Just curious why this happens. TIA

You should not have to reboot

at worst just disable your network connection,
then restart

I'm not sure why it happens but I have a solution for you. Go to your
local BigStore and buy a router/firewall. You can get a decent one
(with wireless) for under $50. No more rebooting and you'll be much
safer. GFIA
