Internet connection

everytime I Connect to the Internet, my Connection goes wild with activity even
though no process is running. task Manager reveals that one instance of svchost
is responsible for all the data sending. this sounds like msblast. but no
msblast.exe app is running. Any clues?
 
Have you scanned your machine for viruses and also scanned for spyware
(AdAware or Spybot S&D)?
