Internet Connection Sharing

If I am trying to set up Internet Connection Sharing between two PCs (with
the master running XP Pro and the slave running XP Home), can I simply
connect the two PCs physically with a LAN cable (RJ-10 or RJ-35) and
establish connection on the master with a USB (or wireless) modem and hope
to get internet connectivity on the slave?

What steps do I need to carry out to achieve this?

Essentially, I am getting my internet connection through a cell phone and
need to share this single connection over two different PCs in the same
room. What do I need to do for this?

Thanks for explaining the steps in a way that even a dummkopf like me can
follow!

Would it be possible to network two PCs (for the purpose of Internet
Connection Sharing) if they both come equipped with Intel Centrino Wireless
modems? However, the Internet connection is coming from a cell phone via an
USB connector.

Thanks for your expert advice
