internet connection sharing and ftp

I recently set up my computer so that my fiance could access the internet
through my computer via my wireless network card. I am using high speed
internet with a router. Now my ftp client can no longer connect to my
website server. I have never had this problem before I enabled internet
sharing. I disabled the connection sharing but it still won't work. Ideas?

do a simple test. can you telnet port 21?
