Trying to find some info on deploying Windows XP on
computers in an Internet Cafe type scenario. Anyone have
any info on the best way to lock down the pc's so no one
can screw around with them? Just want to make sure it's
idiot proof and that they stay running with the least
amount of work possible. I don't think that a file
server will be in place, so GPO's are out unless that is
the only option.
 
Try DeepFreeze from faronics. We have it here on our network with about
15,000 machines. We "Freeze" all student use machines. Makes any changes
temporary. Users can have admin rights and install whatever they want.
When they reboot, it's gone!!!
Awesome software, but has a few holes in it.
