When I turn on my computer using the XP home operating system I am unable to
connect to the internet without restarting the computer, then I am able to
access the internet. What I have found is that another computer I have on
this computer’s wireless network does work anytime that it is turned on. In
the windows operating system events and errors on the problem computer I
initially found an error with the detail 1517-usersenv-5.2-EVENT_HIVE_SAVED.
Microsoft help suggested downloading Uphclean. This took care of the error
message, but not the internet not being connected at start up. I then
discovered a message in Event/Error log that stated-
4202-Tcpip-5.2-EVENT_TCPIP-MEDIA-DISCONNECT. I have gone beyond my ability
to solve this issue.
