internal speakers

Hello all... I'd appreciate some help on this issue.

I'm wanting to build a custom-mod computer. Instead of having
external speakers that aren't that great, I figured on a differenct
idea. I have (2) 3" midrange Blaupunkt speakers. I would like to
mount them on the side of my case. However, I was told that the
speakers would need to be shielded in order to keep from having my
hard drive erased.

1) Is it possible to shield these speakers to avoid this problem?
2) Should I just scrap that idea and use external PC speakers?
3) Do you have another suggestion?
4) This will work, this is how you do it:

Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your
time and attention!

The speakers won't erase the HD. If you mount your 2 speakers on the sides
of the case, you have in effect, external speakers. A better solution would
be to mount them on the sides of the monitor, giving you better separation &
more of a stereo effect.

it's not practical to shield them...get some ready-shielded drivers and use
them. such as those supplied as computer speakers.
it's not a practical idea but i'm all for mods for cool-factor alone.
suggest you get some decent PC speakers and fit them internally...
