After fixing a botched attempted to fix W2k I am at least
able to do almost everything I was able to before the fix.
Two problems:
1. "Office" "This application must be installed to run.
Please run Setup from the locationwhere you originally
installed the application."
2. McAfee Virus Scan "Failed to load required resouce
dlls." and Avconsol.exe "Failed to load required resource
dlls."
When I ran Setup it stalled on Registering COM+
Components, so I did the shift F10 and ended dllhost.exe
int the Task Manager.
I tried to uninstall McAfee and got "Internal error 2753.
F1618_cpd.exe."
I tried to uninstall McAfee Firewall and got "Internal
error 2744. LaunchFirewallUninstall. c:\windows\System32
\msiexec.exe/x {9E0FB790-5971-41F3-A1C3-1CF9E153FF2A}
Suppress reboot="TRUE"/qb."
I am searching McAfee as we speak and have not found
anything yet.
