INTERNAL DNS and MX record

How do I set up an MX record on an internal DNS server. Currently I have an
Internal and external DNS server with the same namespace ie company.com. I
want to set up an MX record on the internal DNS therefore UNIX internal
computer can send mail. Is their any limitations or special things I need
to do? I created an MX record and pointed to our internal DNS server
however it wasn't working. Do you have to call the record MX?

Thanks

You don't need an MX record. Just point the Unix computer at the name of the
server.

Not sure if this will help, but all you need to do is to go ahead and just
do a right click on the zone and say new Mail Exchanger Record.

Then fill in the mail server field, and in most cases that should be all you
need. :)
