Intercept Point

I originally posted this in the wrong folder !

I have a chart with two linear graphs on it that cross
between two plotted points. I cannot figure out how to get
excell to tell me the intercept point.

Is this possible?

Thank you

If you know the equations of the two lines, just solve them
algebraically. For example, if you have y=x+3 and y=2x, then the
solution is x+3=2x or x=3. The two lines intersect at x=3 and the
corresponding y value, from either equation, will be 6.

If you don't know the equations, and have the data plotted with
straight lines (i.e., the smoothed line option is *not* checked), you
could eyeball the solution with the Interactive Chart Display add-in
that you can download from my web site.

Or, you could use the InterpolatedValue function
(http://www.google.com/groups?threadm=MPG.1992faa64542b51b98ac1d%
40msnews.microsoft.com) together with Solver to get a solution.
