Interactive Button problem

Ang

If I create an interactive button every time I preview it or view it in my
browser as soon as I put the mouse pointer over it the picture disappears
and I see the red x mark and a text description.

I think I need to change some setting but not sure what it is

TIA

FP interactive buttons should not be applied in shared borders
- breaks the paths to the images when included

But are you inserting it in a shared border area of your page, if using
themes or shared borders individually?

Try creating a new page with no content, other than the interactive button
and see if that works, might be good to do this in a new web.

After you insert the IB, you must save the page to get an Embedded Image Dialog (with options on changing file names and save folder
locations)
- are you selecting a folder w/i your FP Site to save the images and allowing the image to be saved (there's an option to not save
which should not be selected)

I store all my images in a image folder and when I create IB I save it with
a changed name.

When I look at the code it all seems to point to images stored in documents
and settings folder on c:
When I save it asks me only about the IB visible. It does not ask me about
the other images when the mouse is over the button or when it is clicked on?
TIA

Start by making sure you have a FP Site open (not just a page)
On the IB dialog Image tab select all three button states
On the Embedded save dialog change the folder location to your FP site images folder
