inter-sheet links

I am trying to sort out and simplify a spreadsheet that has been developed
over time in what appears to be a rather ad-hoc fashion. So far I have
successfully removed quite a lot of duplication (for example), but it is
difficult to follow because of the many links between sheets. Is it possible
to get any kind of list of which sheets reference which others?

My first thought was to search each sheet for the name of each other sheet,
which would be tedious enough. However, many of the links are done using
named ranges, which makes the problem even harder. Any suggestions would be
welcome.

I'm not sure how much closer you'll be with these two tools, but I bet you find
them very useful:

Jan Karel Pieterse's (with Charles Williams and Matthew Henson) Name Manager:
NameManager.Zip from http://www.oaltd.co.uk/mvp

Jan Karel Pieterse's FlexFind:
http://www.oaltd.co.uk/MVP/

(In fact, you can search the workbook in xl2002+ using Edit|Find.)

But then you can look for exclamation points (!). If you're lucky, you won't
find them in your text too often.

Have you tried using "<CONTROL - Tilde"> to view the formulas? Might help
as a last resort.
