I've had two intellimouse explorers: I bought one and the second one was
sent to me by Microsoft in replacement of the first. The replacement came
because the first mouse started double clicking when I obviously single
clicked. Now the second mouse has started up with this behavior, and I'm
getting tired of it.
What would it take to write some low-level software for windows xp that
always intercepted mouse messages and discarded extremely quick button
releases and represses. This would I think alleviate much of the problems
these mice are giving me.
If nothing easily can be done through software to alleviate this, I guess
I'll just call up microsoft and ask for a third mouse. But how long will
this problem keep coming back in their mice. And how long will they keep
sending me free mice?
I don't put my mice through any particular strain either -- I've been using
computers for years and I have a good sense of how to click a mouse
properly.
