why are the new intel m7x0 cpus rateD at much lower clock speeds than the
older models ? (i have mobile intel pentium 4 2.8ghz on my toshiba satellite
a40 -- that machine's a year old) ?

is it worth it to wait for the dual core cpu laptops ?

Intel has "abandoned" the speed craze and is going for the dual core systems.
At higher speeds, the dual cores just produce too much heat. Intel will work
this out.

I believe that if the processor is a D version, it may be a dual core chip.
