Integrated Security

Is is possible to integrate window security into an access database (either
link to the user files, or pull the current logged-in user info).

We're running a WintNT 4 server on a Win98/XP stations and will shortly be
upgrading to Win2003 servers w/ XP Pro workstations.

Thanks in advance,
Eric

Depends what you're trying to do. If you've applied Access security, and
want to pick up the users' network ID, without them having to log into the
application, the answer is no.

However, if all you're trying to do is determine what their network ID is,
take a look at http://www.mvps.org/access/api/api0008.htm at "The Access
Web".

Perfect, that's what I wanted to do (pick up the username of the person who
sucessfully logged into the network).

Thanks,
Eric
