I want to integrate my xp sp1 CD to sp2, I follow the
steps but when windows start using update.exe from sp2
creates an error and close the process. I checked the log
file, but doesn't tell you anything. I am running win 2000
at work, and I want to create my xp CD with sp2 to install
in other computers.

Ideas?

Since SP2 replaces SP1 in its entirety, so do not attempt to
integrate SP1. Only integrate SP2.

Either one of the following utilities makes slipstreaming
(integrating) SP2 into Windows XP a breeze:

I choose my sp1 Cd directory as my final destination and I
applied sp2 following the commands supply by the sp2 CD,
first: extracts xpsp2.exe, then use update.exe in the i386
\update directory and it fails and stop the process.
I use c:\temp\i386
\update\update.exe /integrate:E:\XPSP2_INT\PRO
but nothing happens

Use the AutoStreamer program to create a slipstreamed version
of Windows XP with SP2. It's virtually foolproof.

Thank you for your raply.

I already did. I have the same error
I opened the log file and see this

Autostreamer creates the iso file from xpsp1 but it's the
same sp1 without the sp2.

I have tried the command line technique outlined in Paul Thurott's
excellent site:

http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase/windowsxp_sp2_slipstream.asp

I have tried Autostreamer over a couple of permutations.

I get the same error as Guilermo. "update.exe -- application error"
"The instruction at "0x00000000" remferenced memory at "0x00000000".
"The memory could not be 'read'.

I guess Autostreamer is not "...virtually foolproof"!

Any other suggestions?

Ahem. I was using an XPSP1 install disc! Guess I better learn to
read more effectively.

Thanks.
