I have been running Win2000 pro and wanted to upgrade with service pack 4. Well, after installing the SP, the first reboot produces a blue screen Stop 7b, Inexcessible_boot_device. Did a clean install and tried it again, same thing. I think it may have something to do with the EZ-Bios patch in my boot sector to help my older motherboard bios support my 60Gb hard drive. Should I 1) keep running on Win2000 w/o any service packs? 2) get a new motherboard (not a bad idea anyway, just the whole problem of time). 3) try WinXP (this may have the same problem).
