Installing XP Pro on 2nd PC with new license id

I have Win XP Pro on PC1 (came already on the machine). I will order another
copy of Win XP Pro for PC2, but since it will take a week or so to arrive,
can I install the Win XP Pro I have on PC2 and activate in a week when I
receive my new copy (with its own id)?

I'll have 2 licensed copies of the software but I'd like to get a head start
on installing.

No, not unless both are identical versions.
The one that cam with the laptop is most likely OEM by that manufacturer and
will probably not work with another type even if it is also OEM.

Also the OEM that came with the first computer is probably BIOS locked to
that computer and may refuse to install on a different computer.

Even if it will install, you will have little way of knowing if they are
compatible with the probable outcome being a Clean Installation...again.
