I am about to install winxp professional.

I propose to do a clean install. In these circumstances, is it correct /
best / advisable to do so with the peripherals, e.go. printer, scanner,
etc., connected or not?

Sorry if the answer is obvious but thanks in advance for any and all advice.

Had to have XP Home installed, was to to disconnect
printer, scanner, etc.

I can't remember where I read it, but I'm pretty sure it
was right from Microsoft, that it was actually better to
NOT connect printers, etc. until after Windows was
installed. However, if you've got broadband or
something, or a LAN card, leave that hooked up, because
if you're hooked up to the internet through it and
Windows has drivers for it, it can download the most
recent install files for you, thereby saving you time
later on downloading updates :) (I think)
