I want to have a multi bootable computer but I cannot setup windows xp after
I have installed windows xp.
I was told to use D:\i386\WINNT.EXE but it is not working. Any suggestions
are welcome

Thanks

I assume by your D:... reference that the disk is partitioned into C:
and D: and that XP is on c:.

Boot on the windows 2000 CD and install directly to D:, it will detect
the other installation and ask you if you want to set up multiboot

I have installed windows xp.
I was told to use D:\i386\WINNT.EXE but it is not working. Any suggestions

Your machine will no longer boot into WinXP after you
have installed Win2000. To fix the problem, replace the
hidden files c:\ntldr and c:\ntdetect.com with the originals
from the i386 folder of your WinXP CD.

you mean you can't set up windows 2000 after installing Windows XP?

Since they are based on the same structure (NT) I don't see the problem,
unless 2000 prefers primary partition (C:), then yes you'll need to install
that first, then XP on another partition. Seems too technical to me to
really give a qualified answer.
