One license, one PC... However installing 98 on a slave is going to
potentially give you some issues - make sure to use a boot manager if you're
installing 98 after installing XP because 98 won't see the install and you
will not be able to dual boot your system.

If you are aiming to install a 2nd copy of XP onto the new HD....you already
have a copy of XP on the old HD same computer??
This might or might not be legal............but it is possible if you have a
Retail copy of XP.
As to why you wish to do that is a good question...since you presumably
already have a fully functional version of XP on that system.
It would set up a Dual Boot and during that 2nd installation the MBR on the
old HD would be changed to reflect that 2nd install.
This means that your system would need some major software juggling if you
later decided to remove that 2nd version or even worse if you decided to
format that old HD to get rid of that older installation of XP your system
would not start without a repair install of the 2nd XP
installation...............work........work...........work.

What are you aiming to accomplish????

HI Peter, I just thought having xp on the second drive would make for
more interesting drive as using it for storage only just looks like
load of folders, I dont want to cause any headaches so if its difficul
i will stick with the boring folders and not bother
Thanks for the reply
