Installing Win 98 on sep partition

I want to install Windows 98 on the second parition of my HD, I can use
Partiton Magic 8 to set the partition active and hide my XP Professional one
but when i boot up this partition with my Win 98SE disk and go to install it
says that there is already an installation of Windows there an asks if i
would like to reformat this drive. I want to install 98SE sepperatley to
Windows XP and am doing it on a 'Primary' partiton but i dont wnat to worite
over my XP partiton - what do i do?

Help would be appreciated

PS I used the 'Install new OS' wizard in Pariton magic 8.0

For Win9x/Me: Install 98/Me after XP is Installed.
For Windows 2000: Install Windows 2000 after XP is installed.
