Installing Win 2000 on drive other than C

Neophyte question...

I was trying to upgrade the old Dell at my cabin from Win
95 to Win 2K this weekend but the analysis says
(correctly) that I don't have 500 Mb available on drive C
to do the upgrade.

Rather than try and move installed programs to one of the
other (D..F) drives, I figured it would be easier to
install Win 2K onto one of those drives but Setup doesn't
give me that option.

I did run Setup after booting in Win95. This morning
(back at work) I thought that maybe if I booted from the
CD? Can't try it till next weekend however.

Any thoughts?

Choose to perform a new installation instead of an upgrade. You will then
be able to select a partition where to install Win2000.
