Installing Visual Basic.net issue

I have just tried to install visual basic.Net and when i get to the opening
screen and the highlighted section says pre requisits need to be installed. I
click on it and my scanner software pops up?
When I close the software the installer logs out and i have to re-start it
over again.

Can some one help me with this simple but i cant get it issue please.
