Installing updates using a batch file

We load OEM systems. Ocassionally the image we use will not work and I have
to install from the media. Since Windows now has to be validated to download
the patches, I usually install them by hand.

I would like to automate the process with a batch file so they will all go
in without restarting the system until the end.

Could you please point me to an article I can read to learn how to do this,
with the various commands, switches, etc.
