Installing the Video Card

I have a new video card here and the instructions say to remove the drivers
for the current card and set it to "Standard VGA Display". In Windows 98
that was no problem, but I'll be durned if I can find the option in XP. The
only "list" I can find is all NVIDIA adapters (current is TNT2). Even in
Add Hardware there is only two categories, ATI Technologies and Intel
Corporation. Neither of those list a standard display adapter. So (unless
someone can tell me where to find it) I have two choices. Just "uninstall"
the current adapter (sounds dangerous) or don't do anything and just put
the new adapter in and hope I can switch drivers after the fact. The new
card is a Geoforce 5200 - GF FX5200 129Mb DDR TV.
Recommendations?

Use "Uninstall". It'll uninstall the drivers from the machine. Tell the
machine not to reboot automatically, and then power it down.

Remove the old Video card, install the new one, and you'll be good to go.

Yep... worked fine. Thanks!
