Can I put the Microsoft Works 4.5 program from my Windows
98 comp. into my new Windows xp ??? If not, can I buy a
Works program or download one that will work ???

Yes, you're better off buying Works 7.0, which is ofically compatible with
XP

The newest version is WORKS 7.0, you can buy the suite which
includes WORD for about $50 more than the basic WORKS.

The version of WORKS you have is probably an OEM bundled
with your old computer and it may be locked to the W98 OEM
OS.

No downloads, but WORKS is available on-line order from many
sources, even WalMart. Just do a search on
www.pricewatch.com and you'll find many software title
listed.

WORKS 7.0 looks different than WORKS 4.5 but they have
converters so that you can open your old 4.5 files.

i UPDATED TO A works VERSION COMPATIBLE WITH xp AND JUST

OPENED MY PERVIOUS FILES IN IT. wHEN i closed them a pop
up said it was changing my previous files to the new
version and that worked for me
