Installing OEM version over OEM version

I purchased an OEM disc when I built my computer. It worked fine until MS
started upped the security, and then it started flagging mine as "illegal".
I think they're wrong - it's shrinkwrapped and logoed. But anyway I finally
got sick of trying to deal with them.

Now, can I just buy another OEM disc and reinstall? Or will it somehow flag
my system as one that's already had another system installed on it and I get
screwed again? Don't want to deal with this hassle again. TIA

Shrink wrapped and logoed doesn't mean the CD key is legitimate. It depends
on where you bought it from. If it truly is legitimate, and what you are
getting is a WGA notification, then I suggest you post your issue to the WGA
forum for XP. They can give you some guidance in sorting this out. I would
do this before buying a new copy. Good luck.

Thanks for the idea, but that's Vista.
