Installing MS Hotfixes via Policy?

I am trying to install KB823980 and KB824146 hotfixes with our Group
Policy (via Computer Configuration-Software Installation section).
Currently we are able to push SP4 by using the update.msi file. We have
seen the MS articles that integrates SP4/hotfixes with the original OS
install files (modiying svcpack.in_, dosnet.inf, etc).

However, this doesn't work for us since we only want to push SP4 and
hotfixes upon a computer reboot. Is there anyone that has been able to
push a MS hotfix via Group Policy? Since Group Policy only accepts .MSI
files, the hotfixes can't be installed like that. We even tried Wise
Package to take a snapshot but the hotfix doesn't really install (as
verified by KB824146Scan tool).
