Can anyone help with this-- I installed SP2 no problems. I need to also now
install IIS. When i go to control panel->confgure windows components->choose
IIS it asks me to put in my windows SP2 CD to get a needed file. I installed
SP2 from Windows Update thus have no CD. There is a browse option however I
can't find any directory where SP2 exists. Any options for me--i just need to
install IIS!! thanks

You need to integrate/slipstream SP2 into your Windows XP installation CD.
(Google for slipstream SP2 into Windows XP)

SP2 can still be downloaded from MS, last I knew. Look in the software
catalogs & download it, put it on a CD.

Hi
I am sure that you have found by now that the files are in a sub-folder of
Windows called "Service Pack Files"

However it sounds as though you may have been experiencing the problem that
I have at present.

My install procedure finds that sub-directory and the files it needs. But it
says it cannot load them (one by one!) for some bizarre reason and tells me
to load the CD. I've evn downloaded the files onto a CD.

Was this your problem?

Did you ever succeed?
