Installing HP 700 OfficeJet

Although my printer files say that my HP OfficeJet700
printer is not installed, it will print documents.

I'm not sure that upgrading to WindowsXP has been worth
all the problems that this has caused. I just wanted to
put this printer on as an additional printer because I
often need to print in color.

I downloaded the new software from HP and installed in per
their instructions. For some reason Windows won't
recognize it (although if I ask, it will print using it)

Help me, please!

Did you completely uninstall before reinstalling?

If you missed out on Step four, all you have done is reinstall the older
corrupted drivers.
