Installing FrontPage 2002

Are there any issues which I need to know about when installing FrontPage 2002 on a computer that has Windows XP on it? This software was installed on a previous computer that had Windows 98 second edition on it. I have tried to install the software on the computer, but after I type in Product Key I get a 1608 error.

What is wrong? Thanks for your help

You need to tell us the full information given by the error.

A 1608 error could be one of many things, including:
a) The software you are installing is an upgrade version, and can't find a
qualifying product.
b) There is an installer problem.

Give us the exact error message, and perhaps we can help you.

After typing in User Name, initials, organization and Product Key, the first error that comes up says, "Setup failed to locate a valid qualifying product on your machine. Please select the drive where a qualifying product can be found." I then select drive c:, since it is on my hard drive, hit okay, and a second error comes up, "Error 1608, setup was unable to locate a qualifying product.

Sounds like the CD you have is a Upgrade - for which you would have to have a qualifying product (your old FP) on your machine (or the install CD for it) - the qualifying product can't be the FP2002 CD you're trying to install.
