Bit of a newbie on this newsgroup so forgive me if I seem a bit dim

I have been trying to install AVG anti virus and a couple of other progs and
I get a window pop up saying

c\windows\system32\autoexec.nt the file system is not suitable for
running ms-dos and microsoft windows applications. choose close to terminate
the application.

I have had no trouble installing other stuff in general but just the odd 1
or 2
can anyone shed some light on this prob.

thanks in advance

Phil

Hi Phil,

It happens sometimes with software that uses 16-bit routines. It, and the
resolutions for it, are discussed here:
