Installing an Activex control...

Edward

I have installed an application containing the DynaZip Activex control
apparently(duzocx32.ocx, dzocx32.ocx, & dzstat32.ocx) but the form
containing this control produces errors stating "There is no object in this
control". The .OCX files are in the application's same folder. The DynaZip
Activex control is not listed in the Activex control
registration/unregistration dialog box in Access 97.

How do I "install" this Activex control? I have already placed it in the
same folder as other activex controls.
Thanks

Already answer in microsoft.public.access.activexcontrol, where you asked
the same question.

If you feel you need to post to more than one group (HINT: it's seldom
necessary), please have the courtesy to cross-post (send the one message to
all groups at once), rather than multi-post (send individual messages to
each group). In this way, all responses to your post will be available
together, regardless of what group the responder was in, and the rest of us
won't have to read your post multiple times. (It also uses fewer server
resources)

I see you're using Outlook Express. Click the "Newsgroups:" label to the
left of the box containing the name of the current newsgroup. That will open
a dialog that will let you add additional newsgroups to your post.

Note that it's generally consider to be A Bad Thing to cross-post to more
than about 2 or 3 newsgroups. (In fact, at
http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/features/2001/Mar01/Mar27pmvp.asp
Microsoft suggests that "One group will suffice")

As someone who crossposts, the reality is rhat you cannot always predict
which one group is best. Many times my best answer came in a group I
did not expect.

I'm truly sorry about the multiple posts.
I was just worried because I had it posted for 12 days with no reply. Then I
found the activex group. From reading through many postings, in many
groups, I had a feeling that not everyone with solutions read All the
postings for all groups. I've never found/seen any rules or guidelines for
newsgroups, but I try to be polite & respect others' time, and I do the best
I can.
