I have a screensaver that I would like to use. It's not a download or exe.
It's simply a name.scr. How can I install it or where do I put it to be able
to select it in dekstop properties? I've tried windows\system,
windows\system32, and windows\resources\themes. Thanks much in adv.

Just Right Click the file, from the Context menu - choose Install.

Start, Search. Search for *.scr. Note the folder. Place your new *.scr in
that folder.

Maybe I should have been clearer in my first post, my bad. I have tried to
install the screensaver. I have done a search for *.scr and found the files
in the folders listed in my previous post. Nothing happened. It's in all
the right places and have tried to install it multiple times, nothing. Any
OTHER suggestions besides the obvious? I thought maybe the local policy?
