I’m running Vista B2 (5384) x64 using Nvidia raid 1 (mirror), I installed
the raid drivers during the installation of Vista x64. Your situation is
different, my understanding is that you installed Vista on a non-raid drive
and are trying to get Vista to recognize the raid array. Download the Nvidia
Vista x86 beta drivers, then install then into a Nvidia folder on your Vista
drive. If the raid array is enabled in the bios there should be an unknown
device in the device manager, click update driver, choose “Storage
controller†device, on the next screen click “have diskâ€, browse to the
Nvidia folder and the raid controllers, click next to install the drivers.
I don’t know if raid 0 is supported in Vista yet but I know that raid 1 is
supported.

Thanks for all the responses, and you are correct the os is installed on a
just a regual sata drive, and i have done what you suggested and to no avail
i've done it aobut 20 times each a little different, i got it to recongize
the unknown device but it when i selected the driver it would either give me
a blue screen and dump the memory or just say device was not installed
properlly. Do you have any other ideas?? i will keep searching google and
keep trying new things. thanks for the ideas tho :)

Yoooo.... I`m relly beagining to get upset here...Is there anyone how actualy
knows HOW an IF it`s posibile to install Windows Vista PRC 1 ON a nVidia Raid
0 - Stripping - not on single HDD or IDE...? Is there any nVidia Raid Floppy
driver for Windows Vista?...

As I stated in my post, I know that Nvidia raid 1 is supported in
Vista x64 but haven't tried raid 0. Starting at the beginning, raid has to
be enabled in the bios, then the raid array needs to be setup by hitting
"control-F10" during the setup prior to the operating system starting. Go to
the Nvidia download screen to download the Vista b2 x86 drivers, READ the
installation on how to install the raid drivers. The installation
instructions work if followed to the letter, but I don't know if raid 0 is
supported, I do know that raid 1 is supported in Vista x86 and X64.

Gyyyy.....Thx.....I did not know that....DAAAAAAAA.....Lisen man, I know how
to setup a raid....I know where to find the drivers and how to install
them....but i know all of this for all operating sistem based on NT...What I
need to know is if Windows vista suports raid o...because on nVidia home
page, or nVidia beta site there aren`t any Floppy Drivers for vista... Yes
there are some drivers for vista but not floppy, there are olny the softraid
controlers wich can be installd olny an a runnig windows vista not an a vista
installation...clean instal....I have those drivers...But not the Floppy
drivers...I dont have a third hard drive or anything like that...I olny have
2 HDD wich are allready setup in raid 0 - stripping. So there isn`t any way
for me to install vista any other way exept in 2 ways...1.Upgrade from a
clean instell of xp to Windows Vista, and that I really don`t want to do
(it`s pointles)... or 2. To do a clean instal of windows vista, but i dont
have the floppy drivers for vista...Like I said...There aren`t any FLOPPY
drivers on nVidia page or beta site...Should I aspect any drivers
soon?...Dose Vista suport Raid 0?...Because if it dose, then that means that
the floppy drivers arent far back from emarging on nVidia page, but if Vista
dosen`t suport raid 0, then there wont be any nVidia raid floppy drivers on
any page.....So, what`s the pronostic...What`s the anser? Dose windows vista
suport or not raid 0 - Stripping

My reply wasn't meant to offend. I've found in the past that
reading the directions from the start can find an inadvertent error or
omission. During the install process when the screen comes up on where to
install Vista, select "load drivers" at this point put the CD in with the
drivers and install the raid drivers. If Raid 0 is supported you will see
your raid array listed. That is the way that I've been installing Vista on 3
different raid partitions using a raid 1 array. I couldn't find the files
needed for making a floppy in the current Nvidia beta, the required files
were in an earlier release so now I use a CD instead of a floppy.

no man...lisen...It didn`t ofend me at all...:p....I just findit funny....any
way...I knows haw to instal floppy drivers...What I was asking was if there
is any prediction for the near future of coming out any VISTA floppy
drivers...because the beta vesrion an nvidia page are not for floppy but for
instaling the softraid...But any way...I allreadi managed to instal Vista on
raid 0 - Stripping...THX anyway
