Installing a D-link DFE 690 TXD network card

Unaware that I had a problem with my isp account, I
unistalled my newtwork card. Now my isp issue is resolved
but I can't get the D-link card to work again. When I try
to reinstall it I get error code 10, when I use the
Win2000 driver and i get a message like this: "error
occurred, the name is already in use as
either a service name or a service display name" refering
to D-link DFE 690 TXD Network card. I believe that in
making many attempts to reinstall it while the isp
problem was still on, I might have caused that to happen.
How can get pass this situation? Maybe clearing
those "service name or a service display names"? Thank
you for anyone who can help me. Eduardo

If your copy of XP Professional is a retail version, yes. If it's
an OEM version (for example, if it came with the computer), no.
The license for OEM versions ties them permanently to the first
computer they are installed on, and they can never be moved.
